Each plank is tastefully designed in a full 5" wide beveled profile. Time consuming Micro-Beveled edges are applied to all 4 sides of the planks to further define the desired width. Micro-Beveled edges add depth and texture to the room, mimicking the carved edges of traditional hardwood planks.
Random length planks in every carton add the extra detail. Rooms are never just about the pictures and important pieces: it's about creating a foundation, a background. Floors containing planks of varying lengths add extra dimension and exceptional detail to every room.

Q. Are there thicker laminate floors than 12mm?
A. 12mm is the thickest laminate floor available. Masterpiece's thicker construction means a more real-wood sounding surface when walked upon. The thicker laminate floors also install easier as the locking mechanism has more surface area to occupy and is sturdier in form.
Q. Can I use this in a commercial setting?
A. Yes, Masterpiece has an AC4 rating and is approved for heavy residential and medium commercial areas.
Q. Can Masterpiece be nailed down like regular hardwood flooring?
A. No, the Masterpiece collection is a floating floor.
Q. Is the Masterpiece Collection moisture resistant? Can it be used in a kitchen?
A. While excessive moisture is not good for any laminate floor, some collections come with a Melamine infused core to provide a higher level of moisture resistance. The Masterpiece Collection does have a Melamine Infused core and is therefore moisture resistant. It can be used in a kitchen.
Q. Does the Masterpiece Collection have matching floor, stair, and wall trim?
A. Yes, you will find a list of available trims at the individual color level.
Q. Do I have to purchase a separate underlayment or does this floor come with one pre-attached?
A. No, Masterpiece does not come with a pre-attached underlayment. Choose from 1 of 5 approved underlayments available for shipment with your new Masterpiece laminate floor.
Q. I was told that there are two methods of coloring a beveled edge on laminate flooring. Both are sort of like white-out, one in liquid form that is painted on and one in a tape form. Do you know which method the Hampton Collection uses?
A. I have seen both. The problem with the tape version is that it scratches off easily. The Masterpiece Collection uses the liquid version and is painted on by hand.
Q. If I damage a plank, can I uninstall and reinstall a new one in its place later on?
A. Yes, the Masterpiece Collection utilizes a 45 degree locking system that can be un-locked and re-locked later if needed.
Q. Does this collection have the individual planks with beveled edges?
A. Yes, it does. So does the Vintage Delano Handscraped Collection and Hampton Collection
The Masterpiece 4-sided Bevel Collection features a glueless locking tongue and groove for faster, less messy installations. This collection can be installed using the floating installation method.
