Until recently, hand-scraped floors were an art form reserved only for wood flooring. The uneven, distressed surfaces awake the integral textures in real wood. Now, antique inspired floors come in the form of low maintenance, high performing, no wax laminate floors.
Never has the authentic appearance of real wood been so closely replicated. Delano's 12mm thick hand-planed surface conjures impressions of a rustic plank floor. Full width planks remove any thought of a 2- or 3-piece veneer floor. Detailed uneven beveled edges fool even the most discriminating. Delano pairs easily with a wide range of interior styles.
The registered embossed grains (available in Marseilles, Waldorf, Avalon, Shelbourne) follow the actual imprinted texture on the surface adding depth to the grain while creating a rich patina. The hand-sculpted vintage finish (available in Fedora, Bird's Eye Maple, Chattered Hickory, Colonial, Philadelphia Carver, Varnished Walnut) provides a true hand-scraped form that spans design themes from contemporary to classic.

- Latest Finish: The new silk finish with improved grain depth is pressed over an actual hand carved high density core board for an authentic wood handscraped appearance, usually found in much more expensive laminate flooring options.
- Thicker, quieter: The handscraped Delano collection features a 12mm total thickness. 12mm floors are the thickest and quietest laminate floors available.

Q. The surface on this floor is uneven just like a handscraped wood floor. How do they do this with laminate?
A. The core board of a handscraped laminate floor is hand carved to provide an uneven surface. The bevels are carved uneven as well to provide for a real wood look once the paint is applied to them. The laminate surface decor is then pressed into the surface of the uneven HDF fiberboard core. The laminate surface decor follows the uneven carved texture of the core board beneath it resulting in a hand carved hardwood look. Handscraped stying is the latest feature in laminate flooring and fools the senses into thinking the floor is an actual wood floor. Nothing else comes close.
Q. I have samples of both the Masterpiece and Delano handscraped collection. The thickness is the same but why is the Delano plank wider?
A. The Delano collection was given a wider plank look to enhance the handscraping details. The look is still a single "hardwood plank" but with a slightly wider plank width (approx 6 5/16").
Q. What is the AC rating of the Delano Handscraped Laminate?
A. The Delano Collection has an AC4 rating and is approved for heavy residential and medium commercial areas.
The Delano Handscraped Collection features a glueless locking tongue and groove for faster, less messy installations. This collection can be installed using the floating installation method. The Delano Handscraped Collection can be used over most subfloors including wooden, concrete, and even existing vinyl or tile.
