This limited hand made collection gathers inspiration from rich history and responsible living. Three unique distressing techniques transform rigid surface lines into warm and familiar touches of the past. Individually hand stained/buffed planks present the sumptuous earth tones available only from this artist inspired collection. Dramatically proportioned planks at 7 7/16” wide x 74” in length provide a floorscape of texture. Artful attention to detail creates the rich aesthetic, the selection of regenerative materials minimizes environmental impact.
The Artist | Emily Hanako Momohara
The artist, Emily Hanako Momohara of Seattle, Washington draws influence from social, political and environmental issues. Momohara currently teaches/lectures at the Art Academy of Cincinnati where she heads the photography major. She has exhibited nationally and was a visiting artist at the Center for Photography at Woodstock, received a research fellowship through ArtTable at the Sackler Freer Galleries, Smithsonian Institution, and recently won an honorable mention in the International Photography Awards, London.

Emily’s father worked for the Federal Government investigating discrimination cases and her mother is a social worker. She has two sisters: one older, adopted from Laos, and one younger who currently is studying Child Psychology in Uganda. Coming of age in a racially diverse and socially aware family gives Emily nourishment for her work. Momohara dedicated years of work discovering and capturing the raw onsite emotion of the remaining relics of internment camps that imprisoned many Japanese in the U.S during WW-II.

The Premium Green Handscraped Rainforest Collection in both pegged an non pegged versions is approved for all 3 installation methods. Glue down, nail down, or floating installations. The installation can be performed by both Professional Installers and Do It Yourself Homeowners alike. This collection can be installed over radiant heat
floors as well. It is recommended for installation below grade, on
grade, and above grade areas of the home. It can be used in commercial
as well as residential settings.
